I bought one both as a replacement for my DUO50 5 quart model (while keeping our DUO60 in the RV) and because I wanted the Sous Vide capability, in addition to the other smart modes that I typically use.

The surface is so smooth, no residues left just after rinsed with warm water. It might be nice if they included more familiar foods such as a basic chili, chicken soup, barbecue ribs and maybe a pasta dish. I am so happy to have stainless steel instead of a questionable non-stick interior pot to cook in. For those people worried about using a pressure cooker, let me say this isn’t like the old time, stovetop pressure cookers. I performed the trial run the manual suggested where you put in 3 cups of water and set the pot to Steam. The Instant Pot is also a very capable slow cooker so you can still prepare your favorite slow cooker recipes in it.
