As I mentioned before, I was a little afraid of my former pressure cooker but instant pot has many safety features on it that will help ease your mind in using it. The major downside is that it only has a high setting for the pressure cooking mode, rather than a high and low setting like the other models do that significantly expands the flexibility of what you can cook. I usually utilize a rice cooker for this so I was interested to see if I’d get similar results from the Instant Pot. Clean the inner pot, lid, and accessories with water and detergent before the first use.

I am so happy to have stainless steel instead of a questionable non-stick interior pot to cook in. Even the slow cooker program gives you the ability to slow cook on low, medium or high just like a regular slow cooker would.
