There's nothing worse than being hungry and supper still isn't done! The chicken in the picture literally was falling off the bone and was very moist. Includes stainless-steel steam rack with handles, condensation collector, rice paddle, soup spoon and measuring cup. An advanced microprocessor speeds up cooking duration by two to six times and uses 70% less energy than average.

So when I saw the opportunity to review the Instant Pot Ip-Du060 pressure cooker, I was so glad to be blessed with the opportunity to review such a great product. You can press a programmed key but then using the “+” and “-“ signs allows you to change the program time to higher or lower. There are two versions, the V2 and V3, which are identical except for the type of plug (the V2 has a three prong plug, while the V3 has a two prong one – seems a bit backward, doesn’t it?), and some differences in the pre-programmed settings: the two share the same settings for Keep Warm, Slow Cook, Sauté, Manual (pressure cooking), Rice, Meat/Stew, Multigrain, Porridge, Soup/Broth, and Steam, but the V2 adds a Poultry setting, while the V3 adds Cake and Egg settings. I found that the times given in the recipe book were too short and will have to test by trial & error. So, between the 6 quart and the 8 quart, as a general rule of thumb I’d say that the 6 quart size is your best bet unless you have a larger family or ravenous teens, in which case the 8 quart might be better. Install the condensation collector at the rear of the cooker by aligning the top of the collector with the guides on the cooker and press in. The functionality and the easy cleanup has sold me. My Take: The DUO Plus has a nice look with the LCD screen and a handful of extra preset settings (minus the Poultry setting, which strikes me as odd), so you’ll have to decide if it’s worth the extra $20 or so over the workhorse Instant Pot DUO.
