It required 12 minutes to preheat and reach pressure. My old slow cooker has a ceramic inner pot, it works well but the cleaning job is kind challenging. The fill-lines are conveniently marked on the inside. If you enjoy slow cooker cooking give the Instant Pot a try and expand your abilities even further than you could have imagined!

There's nothing worse than being hungry and supper still isn't done! I also love the fact it has a stainless steel pot because all I use is stainless steel and cast iron when cooking. All the current versions com in 6 quart size, and the DUO also comes in a 5 quart (DUO50) and 8 quart (DUO80) size; you can also find the LUX in 5 quart size (LUX50), but that version isn’t on the current company list. No need to defrost, no need to thaw for a day or two in the refrigerator. This cooker makes very little noise unlike my other pressure cooker, and it does not produce lots of steam the way my other rice cooker does, either. The chicken in the picture literally was falling off the bone and was very moist. Slow-cooker setting has 3 temperature levels and can be programmed to cook between 30 minutes and 20 hours at each level. Dinner can wait until you are ready for the next step.. no need to hang around the kitchen. EASY TO CLEAN: The next recipe I tried is smoked ham porridge using slow cook function. It was steaming the side of my kitchen cabinet even though it wasn’t that close to it. I would definitely recommend the Instant Pot IP-DU060 pressure cooker to anyone who wants to make delicious meals but to also not have to worry about burning down your home. The 'Heat' indicates heating or cooking in progress, 'Pressure Cook' indicates the pressure cook program is selected, 'Keep Warm' indicates if it is on/off, and 'Sound' indicates if the sound is on/off when cooking starts or is completed.
